Tributes to American Military Veterans
Veterans Day is a national holiday that celebrates all veterans of the American military, dead or alive. It is a day that gives us an additional opportunity to thank those living for their service and sacrifice.
Gatlinburg, designated a Regional Site for the Observance of Veterans Day 2019, presents a tribute fitting to America’s heroes with an annual POW-MIA Table/Invocation and bald eagle presentation, courtesy of the American Eagle Foundation. During this extraordinary Veterans Day Celebration, everyone is invited to gather at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies plaza on November 11 at 11 a.m. to participate in this special event. In addition to the POW-MIA Table/Invocation and the Bald Eagle, there will be Honor Guard by American Legion Post 202 and Boy Scout Troop 111, a keynote speaker, and performances by the Gatlinburg-Pittman high school band.
