The Greenbrier Restaurant | Gatlinburg | Website | Reservations

Owned by local KBS Enterprises, The Greenbrier touts itself ‘A Food & Spirit Outpost’ featuring in-house dry-aged cuts of beef and organic produce.  In addition to a full menu of delightful dishes such as Oyster Flight and Grilled Halibut, you’ll find Scallops, Pork Belly, Smoked Bone Marrow, Mussels and Duck Rillette, Trout, Duck, Lamb, Salmon, Roasted Chicken, Steaks, and incredible sides.  The Greenbrier is home to the Greenbrier Whiskey Society, offering exclusive opportunities to taste the most sought after whiskeys and bourbons.  Visit their ‘Walker’s Union’ bar and check out the seasonal beverage and Cigar menu.

The Alamo Steakhouse | Gatlinburg | Website | Love Nest Reservations

The Alamo Steakhouse has two locations – one in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge – but only Gatlinburg offers private dining for two.  Make a reservation for a “Love Nest” and choose your meal from their regular menu.  You’ll find a fantastic variety of options from appetizers, soups and salads to flame grilled and seasoned Steaks, Seafood, Pork, and Chicken.  Prime Rib is always served!  While not as ‘fancy’ as the other restaurants on this list, it is the more affordable one and also a visitor and local favorite.

“Love Nest” seating is limited, so you’ll need to call or email to request a reservation at least 48 hours in advance.

The Appalachian Restaurant | Sevierville | Website | Reservations

The Appalachian Restaurant offers upscale dining with a contemporary, Southern Appalachian menu.  You’ll find Chicken, Trout, Duck, Pork Tenderloin, Shrimp and Grits, and Steaks on their ala carte menu along with a limited variety of side dishes and three desserts including Pots de Crème, Goat Cheese Cheesecake, and Apple Cobbler.  For something extra special, consider booking a behind-the-scenes Chef’s Table Experience.  Situated kitchen-side, you can have an intimate five-course, farm-to-fork dining experience guided by the talented chefs at The Appalachian.  This experience must be booked by request to info @ theappalachianrestaurant.com.

Seasons 101 | Sevierville | Website | Reservations

Located the Historic Central Hotel in downtown Sevierville, Seasons 101 restaurant offers a comfortable, casual environment and is open at 11 a.m. on the weekends and 4 p.m. during the week.  They serve an American Bistro style menu featuring Seared Ahi Tuna, Fried Artichoke Hearts, Spinach & Bacon Salad, Burgers, Prime Rib Sandwich, Signature Steaks, Chicken, Shrimp & Grits, and Roasted Vegetables, and Peach Cream Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Old Fashioned Chocolate Ganache for dessert.  Special brunch menu is offered on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

On Fridays and Saturdays May-October, plan to head to the rooftop 101 Sky Lounge to relax by a fire pit with a custom cocktail.

Dancing Bear Lodge Appalachian Bistro | Townsend | Website | Reservations
