Fun Winter Things to Do
What a wonderful time of year for Ice Skating! We know you enjoy spending time in your romantic cabin, but getting out on the ice can make for a romantic date.
There are two places where you can lace up your skates and lock hands:
Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park
The large, enclosed ice arena at the top of Ski Mountain is open year round and welcomes experienced and novice skaters alike. The rink is open every day, beginning at 10 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 9 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.
The cost is only $8 per person and that includes your skates. Alternatively, you can purchase a premium wristband that bundles your fun to include Ice Skating, Scenic Chairlift, Wildlife Encounter, Ice Bumper Cars, and Carousel for $25.
Wilderness of the Smokies
The Wilderness offers a huge, outdoor skating rink that is open now through January 5, 2020. The hours are 4-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.
The cost of admission is $20. However, 50% discounts are offered Monday-Thursday for educators/students, military/first responders, church youth groups and ugly Christmas sweaters, respectively.
